In 2009, the Lord called us to Bronkhorstspruit, where we spent a season consecrating and setting ourselves apart for His calling. I heard the Lord say that we should plant a church, but as it did not really fit my frame of reference, I asked the Lord to confirm it.

I had never seen myself as a shepherd or pastor of a congregation and had a lot of preconceived ideas of what my calling looked like. In this season we started devoting ourselves to prayer and meditating on the Scriptures and had various encounters with God. Out of our devotion time, God started opening up doors and we started ministering locally and internationally.

In November 2009, we experienced that the Holy Spirit laid it on our hearts to start the church and He led us to a resort. When we saw the chapel, we both had peace. So, we went and spoke with the owner and God gave us favour.

On 10 January, after the service, I spoke with Nevil and told him all that we were experiencing and we made an appointment for 13 January, when we sat with Chuck  Day and Nevil Norden. During that session the prophetic word confirmed that we were in season and we had our first service on 7 February 2010.

Since then, we have continued growing and through the grace of God, we have the greatest people in our congregation! We are enjoying every moment of it and we can truly tell of the goodness and loving-kindness of our Lord.
